If you already have an account with Coinbase, registering for Coinbase Pro is extremely simple.
First, go to https://pro.coinbase.com and click on Sign in. Use your Coinbase credentials to sign in to Coinbase Pro, which will create a new account. This is simply the advanced trading platform designed by the same company, Coinbase.
The benefits of using Coinbase Pro versus Coinbase is it unlocks savings in fees as you're able to place orders of different types (limit, stop limit, etc.). You'll also be paying the true price of the crypto you're trying to purchase as you're interacting directly with the order book.
Once you register with Coinbase Pro, you should think of it as a separate wallet or account. While moving funds (both fiat and cryptos) between Coinbase and Coinbase Pro is both free and easy, they don't get automatically transferred.
Therefore, if you have USD in your regular Coinbase wallet, you would have to transfer that USD from Coinbase to Coinbase Pro, in order to buy cryptos on ZenDCA.
To move USD funds from Coinbase to Coinbase Pro, first login and then click on "Deposit' in the top left corner.
Then select USD and then click on the last option "Coinbase.com" as your source of funds.
Then type in an amount you'd like to transfer and click "Deposit".
The funds will be instantly transferred to Coinbase Pro.
Since its launch, we have never seen Coinbase charge fees for sending USD or cryptos from Coinbase to Coinbase Pro.
Your bank details should have also been migrated to Coinbase Pro once you sign in, but you can confirm that here.
When you create a new repeat buy schedule on ZenDCA, you should deposit USD funds from your bank directly to Coinbase Pro, not Coinbase. If you do deposit to Coinbase, transferring the USD to Coinbase Pro is still simple and described above.
